William Stafford, Community Leader and Aviation Student from Pensacola

William Stafford

William Stafford grew up in Pensacola, Florida, where he watched Naval aircraft train. This early exposure sparked his interest in aviation. Currently, William Stafford, who still lives in Pensacola, is studying toward a professional flight degree at Auburn University and working toward obtaining his private pilot license. He is training on a Piper Cherokee Warrior aircraft and aspires to fly a Boeing 777.

Mr. Stafford's family supports his aviation career aspirations by traveling to different countries. These trips expose him to various cultures and strengthen his interest in flying. During flights, he interacts with flight crews and visits cockpits whenever possible.

Complementing his flight training is a strong leadership background. He has earned the Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America. As part of this achievement, he led a project where scouts and volunteers built two gardens for the Azalea Trace Retirement Community. At the American Legion Florida Boys State, Mr. Stafford served as a delegate for northwest Florida. Other delegates elected him to the general assembly, where he learned about politics and government operations.

Mr. Stafford completed nine hours of leadership training at Chain Reaction Pensacola. He also worked as a youth assistant group leader at Pensacola State Kids' College, where he helped instructors with classes and activities like art projects. He also served as an IB program school ambassador, where he promoted the program and guided students and their families during campus visits.
